Coining Blanks & Planchets

Wholesale Blanks-

We do significant business in preparing both precious and non-precious blanks (planchets) for other mints.

Other mints appreciate our .999 fine silver blanks for two reasons in particular: (1) We anneal all of our blanks after fabrication, which allows the silver molecules to realign, making a very "soft" blank which is very easy to stamp; (2) We weigh every precious metal blank we make to be sure it is at least the weight that will be stamped on the finished product. You can be sure that a 1-TO blank will be at least 1-TO. After annealing, the silver blanks are typically rimmed and burnished.

We have a couple different processes for our non-precious blanks. One process consists of burnishing the blanks to a high polish, ready for your finest quality stamp. We have been told by one plater that our blanks are the best that they receive for gold and silver plating.

The other process consists of tumbling them in a mild deburring media which cleans off any mill marks and makes a clean, even surface. These blanks are excellent for a production-grade stamp and are especially good for antiquing, because all oil is completely removed from the surface of the blanks.

Let us serve your wholesale blank needs.
