Of the new 2014 coin designs being introduced this year, we are excited to introduce Regency Mint’s New 2014 Statue of Liberty silver rounds. This new addition to our arsenal of minted silver bullion, features a majestic eagle on the reverse with the Latin words “Deo Est Gloria” on the raised banner, meaning “Glory to God.” If you look closely you will notice a double dated “2014” year on the obverse. The die was slightly out of alignment during the engraving of the date, and then repositioned, which caused a double-die effect reminiscent of the 1955 double-die Lincoln penny. At first we thought we made a mistake, but then realized how collectable double dated coins are.
The name “REGENCY” is prominent along the top of the silver round’s obverse, as the main mintmark of the medallion. Because of Regency Mint’s ISO 9001:2008 certification, these silver rounds are approved for IRA Investment Accounts (Individual Retirement Account).
Minting began this month with thousands of these Statue of Liberty rounds selling within the first two days of sales. These rounds will be distributed through Regency’s wholesale dealer network, to be resold by bullion dealers all over the country. Thank you for letting us be your favorite mint and we hope you enjoy Regency’s new 2014 silver round design.
